La Colmena eco lodge is a very magical house located in the heart of the native forest, at the foot of the Calbuco volcano.

THE LODGE
Our lodge offers accommodation with breakfast. We offer rooms with private bathroom, desk and wardrobe.
We have large, well-ventilated common areas that include a kitchen, dining room, bar, terrace, and a 650 sq ft playroom with a kitchen and a 55′ TV where you can play and hold all kinds of workshops. In the forest you will find quiet places to relax, grill and a fire pit.

La Colmena eco lodge is located in Ensenada, in Puerto Varas. Ensenada, access center to the Vicente PĂ©rez Rosales National Park, is located between two active volcanoes, the Osorno and the Calbuco, and is surrounded by rivers and lakes, which gives rise to all kinds of tourism and adventure activities, as well as being a unique platform to marvel and observe the resilience of nature.

La Colmena eco lodge has been built with the health of our planet in mind. Our focus has been on the reuse of disused materials that would not otherwise be recyclable.
REDUCE
The interior walls are filled with thousands of ecobricks for plastic waste managing.
REUSE
Recycled and collected materials have been applied throughout, giving new life and purpose to some really awesome items!
RECYCLE
We are focused on recycling, waste reduction and food waste composting.
WATER
We have a rainwater harvesting system designed to last over time and provide water support for use in balance with the environment. Rainwater is stored in a tank for general use in the house, separate from the potable water network directed to the kitchen for drinking and cooking.
Sheets and towels reuse program: in order to optimize laundry resources and contribute to sustainability and energy and water saving, towels and sheets are washed before the room is used by a new guest, every 3 days and when indicated.
ENERGY
The house has a hybrid system of solar and traditional energy. The lighting is low consumption and the kitchen appliances are of the latest model that help conserve energy.
CIRCULAR ECONOMY
We use local and fresh seasonal products 100K (100km away) for a healthier and more sustainable cuisine.
Local culture
We offer green activities and workshops so our guests can participate in socially and environmentally responsible tourism.
